Commander
Colossus
A seven-foot, heavily armoured soldier carrying a minigun that fires depleted uranium rounds.

DMZ · Threats
Hajin’s toughest enemies: three roaming Commanders, a cast of named Lieutenants to hunt, and the forces that escalate when you make noise.

Commanders roam Hajin in every match and shrug off most standard weapons. Your Team Leader warns you when one is near. The first kill on each pays DMZ Cash, and every kill you extract from drops valuable 3D Printer ingredients.

Commander
A helicopter-sized autonomous drone with twin machine-gun turrets. A captured SAM site will shoot at it for you.
Vehicle details →Commander
A North Korean main battle tank on high alert, patrolling Hajin.
Vehicle details →Lieutenants are named, battle-hardened soldiers with their own loadouts, tactics and escorts. They aren’t always active, so check their territory or track them down.

Extracting with Lieutenant Dog Tag Cases is how you progress the Boss Board, and Ripple Tide, the second DMZ Mastery camo, asks you to exfil with two of them in one deployment 50 times.

Hajin is held by a secretive North Korean faction. Soldiers come in four tiers, and the zone sends heavier help as your threat rises.
Each location shows its Threat under your compass as you enter. It rises as you fight and calms when you break contact, hide or move to quieter ground. Rival players don’t count towards it.
Fill the Hostiles Kill Count meter and you’re Marked for Death, with a Hunt Squad sent after you. See every location’s base threat on the DMZ map.
There are two kinds. Commanders (the Colossus, the Deathstalker and a battle Tank) roam Hajin every match. Lieutenants are named elite soldiers such as Gorani, Roze, Bale, The Juggernaut and The Scavenger, who you hunt with intel.
Buy intel on a Lieutenant at the Boss Board in your FOB, which lasts one deployment, or climb a Lieutenant Hunt tower in Hajin to mark the nearest one.
Always a Dog Tag Case, plus a large cash and XP reward. They can also drop their unique weapon or a key to their personal loot room.
It’s a heavily armed autonomous drone, so bring launchers and cover. Capturing a SAM site nearby helps: under your control it automatically fires at enemy aircraft, which Activision says is especially useful against Deathstalkers.
No. Commanders are always in the zone, and they show on your Tac-Map when they’re close. The Boss Board gives free information on them.
